EU INDUSTRY WEEK 2021 – Cooperating with Europe for Green Manufacturing Technologies

Vietnam and its ASEAN neighbours have emerged as important manufacturing hubs in the international economy and. The growing demand for environmentally sound, resource- and energy-efficient products and manufacturing creates a hunger for new “Green” manufacturing technologies. With its rich technology and research landscape, innovative enterprises, and dedicated Green Growth strategies, Europe is a unique source of such Green technologies. Thus, EU-ASEAN technology cooperation and B2B partnerships can create huge mutual benefit.

This two-day meeting will bring together businesses, innovators, policy makers and other stakeholders to discuss the state-of-the-art in Green manufacturing and opportunities for EU-ASEAN cooperation and technology transfer.

New events contract for the European Committee of the Regions

In June, Pracsis organized the first two events of its new contract with the European Committee of the Regions. The first, “Gender Parity in Politics,” was planned as a webinar, but the second “EuroPCom 2020″—one of CoR’s annual flagship events—was originally scheduled as a physical conference. Coronavirus restrictions meant that Pracsis had to shift everything online.

Pracsis expands its digital services to meet challenges of the pandemic

 

 

 

 

 

Pracsis had to adjust quickly to COVID-19 confinement measures. And as an events company, this came as a particular challenge. Almost overnight, Pracsis had to retool its operations to continue delivering quality event services to its clients. Bidding adieu to physical gatherings, the team worked incredibly hard to research, train, and transition to online video conferencing.

Pracsis wins bid for second phase of Sustainable Energy Investment Forums

Pracsis has won a four-year framework contract to support energy efficiency investment in the EU through the organisation of public conferences, roundtables, and webinars. The contract, issued by EASME, is the second phase of Sustainable Energy Investment Forums, the successful three-year project led by Pracsis that resulted in the organisation of 58 events in 14 EU member states.

Together with its consortium partners—Climate Alliance, EC Network, and Fedarene—Pracsis will continue this important work, but at an increased volume and in a (mostly) different set of countries; organising public conferences and closed meetings to engage with representatives of the financial sector, public authorities, and businesses involved in the financing of sustainable energy projects at the EU and national levels.

International IP Stakeholders Meeting

Pracsis manages the Southeast Asia IP Helpdesk, which offers comprehensive advice and services to SMEs preparing to branch out into the region or those already there. Staff from PRACSIS’s offices in Brussels and Ho Chi Minh City work with and a network of IP experts across SE Asia to provide free support to European chambers of commerce, European trade associations, and other European SME business/entrepreneurship networks and incubators, both in Europe and South-East Asia.

SEI Forums, the past six months

On 11 June, Pracsis organised the 35th(!) and final event of its SEI Forums contract with the European Commision (EASME). The event took place in Sofia and was a continuation of the successful regional conference on financing energy efficiency in Central and South-Eastern Europe held in Sofia in June 2018.

CASP kicks off

In April, Pracsis and Ernst & Young organized seven kickoff meetings in Brussels for their new framework contract on consumer product safety, managed by CHAFEA, the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency of the European Commission.

 

For the next four years, Pracsis will be responsible for all event logistics as well as communicating and disseminating the outcome of the project activities to all relevant stakeholders.

Pracsis and EY are now organizing a series of knowledge sharing and lab visits in several EU countries that will take place before the new year.

PRACSIS continues event support for energy efficiency financing across Europe

PRACSIS was responsible for promotion and marketing of the events plus all practical organisation and logistics, gathering project developers, public authorities, banks, and other players from the finance sector interested in energy efficiency investment. In total, around 500 people attended the events, with another 350 following the live webstream.

SDGs in the City: Pracsis organises UN side event in New York for European Commission

Pracsis was in New York City in July to organise a side event for the High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development on behalf of DG DEVCO of the European Commission. The event was part of the EU Switch to Green facility which assists EU foreign delegations and other Commission services advance green economic development around the world.
